The family in need is extremely poor, with three young children and an elderly mother. The sole breadwinner works as a labourer in Dhaka and earns only enough to cover day-to-day expenses, leaving no savings to build even a modest home.
We are proposing to build a simple two-bedroom house to provide them with basic protection from rain and wind. The structure will include a tin roof and half-brick walls. Additionally, we plan to plant fruit trees around the property to help provide a small source of future income for the family.

Building a Home for a Needy Family
This video documents Project 12 – House Construction, carried out by SJC Ex Students Legacy, a non-profit initiative led by Ex Students of Sir John Cass School. Project 12 supports a vulnerable family living in extreme hardship by providing a safe and dignified home to protect them from rain, wind, and unsafe living conditions. This house construction is part of our sadaqah jariyah mission to deliver long-term, sustainable support for those in need. We are committed to transparency, and this video shows the real on-ground progress of the project, made possible by the generous support of our donors and volunteers.
